Jan 27th – Feb 10th 2027
Over the years I’ve explored quite a bit of Costa Rica and this trip is a collection of some of my favourite places so far. Michelle and I wanted to create an experience that could bring people to Navina in the south but also show people a glimpse of the other magical things that Costa Rica has to offer.
From the iconic Arenal volcano and the nearby hot springs, to the hidden beaches of the south Pacific region, we’ll take you on a wild adventure that is designed to blow your mind at every turn.
TAfter you arrive in San Jose, we’ve got every step along the way planned out. From the Central Valley, we make our way to La Fortuna for a few nights via an awesome nature reserve, and then continue up to the “Rincon de la Vieja” for 2 more nights. Along the way we’ll stop at hot springs (and a hot river), explore incredible caves (if you’re into that), visit the most turquoise river you’ve ever seen, go tubing down some amazing rapids and search for waterfalls.
Making our way down the pacific coast, there will be plenty of time to stop & enjoy the unspoilt beaches, fringed with jungle. The second part of your retreat finds you totally immersed in nature, at our own little magical spot in the rainforest.
Here the giant blue morpho butterflies float by. Howler monkeys signal every sunrise & the sunsets create a sense of awe. Brightly coloured toucans call from overhead branches, scarlet macaws come to feed on almonds & the whizz of the hummingbirds’ wings are a constant background delight.
Here you can breathe the fresh air, pause, feel and be present. Experience aliveness and a deep profound connection with the wildlife and nature that surrounds you.
Where the first half of the trip might feel a little more “packed” with activities and moving around, this second phase will balance that out with a little more down-time and a little more opportunity to just settle. It fills both the adventure cup, and the recharge cup so that you leave feeling like you’ve had innumerable amazing experiences and you also feel rested.

MOVEMENT & MANUAL THERAPY with Drew
By now, you’re likely familiar with the style of practice I teach – mostly aimed at controlling our movements and finding the actions and efforts that most of us don’t do frequently enough. We’ll also work in some regular self-release practices into the mix to create a bit of balance between the challenge of the active practice and the recovery of the ball-work.
If you’re not yet familiar with what and how I teach, you might like to check out this video over here.
