We would like to invite you to join us for a week of adventure and self-care in the Osa. Unplug from city life and dig into your practice in the beauty of Costa Rica.
We’ll wake to the sounds of the jungle and start with a bit of quiet time for meditation. Morning practice will be active and invigorating. We’ll have breakfast followed by some exploration (hiking, waterfalls, beach trip, etc). Some days we’ll workshop in the afternoon: think partner adjustments, handstand prep, pilates/functional movement, pranayama (breath techniques) and yoga philosophy. Evening practice will be soft and chill: restorative, pranayama, meditation and self-massage. We’ll have lots of options planned for you but you can also have free space whenever you need it.

The Navina Wellness Centre is very much in the heart of the jungle, nestled in beautiful mountainous terrain. There are waterfalls nearby (the closest is just 10 mins away), trips to the coast, beautiful views, lots of hiking and nearby archaeological sites to explore. We’ll also have Drew Hume, Navina director, who will lead us through a Thai massage introduction. Practicing touch is important to us and Drew is a truly graceful teacher.
It’s important you know that this centre is a dry space — meaning no alcohol or drugs. We want to establish a safe and open environment in which connection is encouraged; both in practice as well as with fellow practitioners.
Included is your stay and 3 vegetarian meals a day. We plan for 2-3 movement/meditation practices per day depending on weather, beach trips, workshops etc. Everything is optional, and you can add on things like Zipline and Thai Yoga Massage.
April in Canada is still very much winter, and is one of the best times to visit Costa Rica. We are so excited to get away with you, and share in a week of practice and exploration of movement and stillness. There are limited spots, so sign up soon!
About Scotty (BIO):
I came to practice mostly trying to heal from running injuries. The physicality of practice really excited me, but I was surprised at how affecting it was mentally. I started to feel less reactive at work and more able to really feel my body; to be receptive to what I was experiencing. I have been on a healing journey since, slowly growing and learning about myself and I am so grateful for the opportunity to facilitate a space in which to dive deeper into practice and really listen.
My style is based in Kula Flow, which is a breath-centred vinyasa practice marked by intentional, ‘sensibly creative’ sequencing and intelligent adjustments. I also teach pilates and functional movement. My appreciation for my teachers Schuyler Grant, Nikki Vilella and Kate Gillespie cannot be understated.
About Erick (BIO):
My Yoga journey began over five years ago. I was drawn to practice because of breath work and physical asana. But soon after, I came to realize a lot of truths about myself: that I was unsatisfied with my life and had been carrying around a lot of anger. As i moved deeper into the layers of practice, I became more connected to myself and more immersed in yoga philosophy.
After a few years of dedicated practice I decided to take teacher training and have been teaching since its completion. My focus is in incorporating a sense of mindfulness, breath-work and biomechanics into the vinyasa style of teaching. To bring focus back to the intentions behind our practice and to help others push their boundaries.
