Often on retreat, the most difficult thing is making your travel arrangements to and from the centre. Before you do that, it’s worth reading this post so that you maximize your time here at the centre and so that everything is clear.
Before you can make your flight bookings, let’s get clear on a couple of things first – specifically, dates.
Your retreat dates:
The day of arrival and the day of departure are included in the listed retreat dates. This means that if your retreat is listed as running from the 5th to the 14th of the month, your day of arrival is the 5th, and your day of departure is the 14th (this is just an example, take a look at your retreat dates to find the ones that apply to you).
Now we can start flight planning.
It might be a little strange, but we recommend that you work your flights in reverse… this means booking your domestic flights/travel first, and then your international ones. A couple of times, people have had to leave their retreat early due to mis-matched local and international flights, so making the domestic booking first will prevent this from happening so you get to be here for the full time.
We’ve put together a list of options for planning your domestic travel to and from the centre, and that can be found here.
After that…
Once you’ve booked your flights (or other transport) please forward your confirmation to us (both international and domestic). This will help us organize how and when we are to collect you.
As long as we have your travel plans we will have someone ready and waiting to collect you either from the Palmar Sur airport, the Palmar Sur bus station, or the Osa Canopy Tours office in Ciudad Cortes. If those words don’t make sense to you, you have to read the link above. 😉
Hopefully this helps to take some of the challenge out of your planning!
